Fyiz-mō Ner (/fjiz/ /moː/ [biscuit] [revolver (firearm)]) is a temperate Town located in the Zbëkfenfyë Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Fyiz-mō Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Fyiz-mō Ner was founded by Ghihubno Tuvno, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Fyiz-mō Ner has a yearly average temperature of 7°C (44°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold -11°C (13°F). Fyiz-mō Ner receives an average of 178 cm/y (70 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Fyiz-mō Ner covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 3244 m (10643 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fyiz-mō Ner was founded durring the late 9th century, by Ghihubno Tuvno. The establishment of Fyiz-mō Ner was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Ghihubno Tuvno struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Fyiz-mō Ner as a prison colony.

Fyiz-mō Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fyiz-mō Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Fyiz-mō Ner is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt paverstone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's frontieer-style defences have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Fyiz-mō Ner makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power.

Cultural Notes

While Fyiz-mō Ner has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.

Fyiz-mō Ner's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
